Sharon Woodring was born and raised in Kentucky. She attended college at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. While there, she took classes in many forms of art, including design, drawing, and painting. As a student, Sharon had several pieces shown in student art shows, won 3rd place in the Big County Art Association art show in 1997, and had 2 drawings published in the Shinnery Review, one of which won first place in the publication's art contest. After graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Sharon began painting murals and discovered an art form that she greatly enjoys.
